Well Water Equipment Reviewed by a Driller
Pumps, pressure tanks, filters, and off-grid water systems — with the sizing math, pre-charge settings, and field-tested recommendations most affiliate blogs leave out.
If your well runs your home, this site is for you
Roughly 13 million American homes depend on a private well for water, and the gear that keeps that water flowing are submersible pumps, pressure tanks, sediment and iron filters, UV systems, well caps — fails or needs replacement every 5 to 20 years. Most homeowners only have to think about it twice in their lives, which is why the buying decisions are confusing and the cost of getting it wrong is high.
Boreholeflow exists to make those decisions easier. Every review and buying guide here is written by someone who installs this equipment for a living. I run project management at Bonvic Drilling Co. Ltd, a borehole and water-infrastructure company, and I’ve personally specified, installed, and serviced more pumps and pressure tanks than I can count. When I tell you a Goulds will outlast a Flotec, it’s because I’ve pulled both out of failed installations and seen what’s left.

About the author
I’m Ateya, Project Manager at Bonvic Drilling Co. Ltd, a borehole drilling and water infrastructure company. I’ve spent more than a decade specifying pumps for well sites, sizing pressure tanks against pump curves, running test pumping on new boreholes, and troubleshooting failed water systems for customers ranging from single-family rural homes to schools and agricultural projects.
I built Boreholeflow because too much of what’s published online about well water equipment is written by people who’ve never installed any of it. The brand names and model numbers vary by country — American homeowners are choosing between Goulds, Amtrol, and Franklin Electric where I’m working with Grundfos, DAB, and Pedrollo — but the engineering is the same everywhere. A 10 GPM pump needs 10 gallons of drawdown whether it’s in Texas or Trans Nzoia.
If you’re trying to figure out what to buy or why your system is acting up, you’re in the right place.
